Join Amy MacDonald, CNM, MSN, a Centering Consultants since 2008 and Faculty for the Duke School of Medicine Practice Course who will discuss the Duke Midwifery Service's Volunteer Program and how it supports their Centering Program.
Amy has been working with CHI since 2008, leading trainings most notably in Malawi, Africa, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Amy started the Duke Midwifery Service within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1999 mentoring learners from three residency programs, medical, PA and NP students while providing patient centered care to a diverse population of women. She has lead a successful Centering Pregnancy Program for English and Spanish-speaking patients since 2004. Amy loves to play Jacks and has a pretty serious knitting problem.
