The team at Jamaica Hospital have been successfully facilitating CenteringPregnancy groups for years. When social distancing rules put a halt to their groups, they needed to find an alternative solution for the women in their community. The Women's Health Center Practice Manager, Medical Director, and their hospital IT department worked tirelessly in order to integrate CenteringPregnancy, self-care, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to create a system of prenatal care that is safe, satisfies ACOG and Centering guidelines, and, most importantly, offers this invaluable service to the women in our community.
